Coogi the Oz Missoni?

In Australia the House of Coogi doesn't get the recognition it rightly deserves. Is it not our Missoni?
I was quite shocked when I went to New York in 2000 and Harlem was paved in Coogi. In Australia it is relegated to Airport Duty Free and Tourist Markets.
Such a shame, as the knitwear they design although not to everyone's taste is a work of art.
So how excited was I to find this Vintage Coogi shirt dress with the most Killa Aztec print last week.
Missoni design some lovely stuff but those uptight Milanese could never come up with this crazy print and colour combo. Australian gold.

Peace Love NYC

Ken Done.  He may be broke and his artwork pretty much worthless but scattered around the country little fragments of his former glory live on amongst piles of discarded goods.
When unearthed it feels like you have discovered a priceless artifact. Well not quite but you are pretty happy all the same.

Olympic Glory

Discovered just as the Winter Olympics were starting SPOOKY... 

Torvil and Dean hit the heights of Olympic Glory way back in '84 with perfect scores for their Ice Skating routines. This sweatshirt is probably merchandise from a tour that came to town.
We always thought they were an item but apparently both married to different people, who knew?

I think we all just caught up in the glamour, batwings and glitter that is Ice Dance.

Wiggle it

Can you believe I found this in the dress up box at my local op-shop? I don't know what kind of dressing up these old biddies get up to at home but I am sure Keith Haring would have a chuckle seeing them wiggle it in this cut out 80s bandage dress.

Fido Dido

Have you always wondered what happened to Fido Dido?
Apparently he runs a fish and chip shop in Laverton and has only one squiggle left on his head.
Life was good to him in the 80's and if you find Fido Dido like this, life could be good for you too.

Siberian Tiger

In Siberia apparently the Tigers have special mystical powers. I believe it was these powers that led me to these vintage bathers.
The print is beyond words and the cut out sides killa.
I now pray to these wild cats daily hoping they will lead me to the promised land of all tiger print vintage.

If 2Pac were alive today I may not have found this Huge Gold Platted Gangsta Bling.
